Make Mine Pink

I am honored to have been awarded the Honest Scrap award by my friend and fellow Make Mine Pinker Dianne at Mama's pocketbook. To accept this award I must thank Dianne and link to her blog (which I have done, just click her name!) and list 10 honest things about myself along with a copy of the honest scrap image also award 7 other bloggers with the links.

1. I am a sucker for any vintage china with pretty pink roses.
2. In my head I am a chic city girl. In real life I live on a big piece of property with a barn, a dozen chickens and numerous other animals.
   
3. I get a serious rush from finding treasures at flea markets, tag sales, (trash on the side of the road), etc.
4. When the nurse told me my second baby was a boy I thought she and my husband conspired a big joke because I couldn't imagine being the mother of one boy, never mind two. I had always pictured myself as a mother to daughters. Of course, I love my boys to death.
5. I always have paint on my arms.
   
6. I have a hard time falling asleep because my brain is always going 90 miles an hour.
7. I keep a pad and pen next to my bed to keep reminder notes, often writing in the dark. Then the scribble has to be deciphered in the morning.
8. I love to decorate. My house is very shabby chic, floral and girly. Thankfully, my husband lets me indulge my creativity and doesn't care that our bedroom is pink.
9. I am a beer drinker, hold the glass. No wine or fancy drinks for this lady!
10. I am terrified of amusement park rides.

Yesterday I did an antique show on the green in the town that our shop is located. I try to do this show every year for exposure. It's a cute little show with about 60 dealers. The weather was a little crazy ... dark skies and chilly, sunny and hot, windy, little drops of rain. But .. overall it was fine. I met and talked to lots of people and had a lovely day. I thought I'd share a few photos of my booth. The back is draped with white toole and a pink flower swag, tied with ribbons and accented with a vintage pink and white flower chandelier.

Anyone remember this piece from a few posts ago? Well, of course it turned white!

What a great day I had on Friday! My mother, my sister and I went to Brimfield, Ma to the huge antique show. I usually go at least once a year but last year I never got there. That made it all the more fun this time. I found some great things that I was able to bring home and so many more that I just couldn't. We filled our minivan with treasures, that's for sure. It was so much fun. I love going for the shopping of course, but people watching is high on the list too. Watching everyone carrying their goodies back to their cars and all of the other goings on. It's almost impossible to explain how big it is and how amazing if you've never been there. Here are a few fun things I picked up.
