Today is the first day of summer for my kids and surprise, surprise ... it's raining and cold again. This has been the worst spring weather I can ever remember. Fortunately it only rained a little off and on yesterday. We had a whole bunch of friends and family over for a Father's Day cookout. It ended up being 17 adults and 12 kids. Lots of good food and good fun. The firepit is a favorite place for everyone to hang out. And when it rains, we all move to the barn. It was really great spending the afternoon and evening with everyone.

Can almost smell that food, good you had a happy day, sorry about the weather being cold, hate the cold this time of year. Wimbeldon has just started so, yep! we can expect rain, lol, does not spoil the strawberries and cream though.
Hi Jennifer,,, the fire pit looks like such a fun and relaxing place to enjoy family. I love the green! I hope you have better weather this week. Its supposed to be 108 today,so I wont be happy about the weather until October. lol Enjoy a cool, green day for me! :)

I know we are going to go into desert heat through once the monsoon season is over, so I am having weather anxiety now :-)

I would have loved to sit around the fire pit with you all. That looks like so much fun! Glad it did not rain to much. Sure did not look like it put a damper on the Father's Day celebration.
