I have been a decorative painter for 16 plus years. I love rescuing vintage pieces and giving them a new life. I fell in love with the Shabby Chic style of decorating many years ago which changed my style from fun and funky to chippy and distressed. I love pink, turquoise, roses, and fabulous vintage finds and furniture with chippy paint. Tag sales, flea markets and auctions are where I love to be.
It's October in the Northeast and we had SNOW yesterday. I think the newscaster said the last time that happened was in the 80"s. My son was right out in the middle of it. It stuck for a while but was gone in the morning. It is so cold today ... I wonder if this is an indication of a snowy, cold winter?! Guess we'll know soon enough.

Here in NE Pa. we had about 2" & it stayed all day!! Burrrr! Cold too. Leave it to a child to experience it all... Have a Great Day! Love, Marilyn
Oh I am so jealous of your snow! I am originally from the NE, North of Albany, Adirondack area. Have lived in Florida since 1980 and the older I get the more I long to spend a week doing my photography of snowy scenes and enjoying all things winter. Was "home" two years ago for Thanksgiving and was hoping, but nope, no snow until 2 days after we left! Of course! My heart will always be split between the NE I love and Florida where my three children and their families are. So the next snow, enjoy it for me!
