Special Delivery

We got a puppy!!! We have never had a dog so this is BIG news at our house. The photo above is what we fell in love with on the Labs4rescue website. It is an amazing organization that is actually run out of our small town here in CT but caters to states all over. Our sweet little 11 week old girl arrived yesterday from Texas. I feel like I have a new baby (and slept like I had one too). Seriously, the last 24 hours have gone so much better than I expected. My boys are so excited for our new addition. We decided to call her Tali because our favorite ski trail at Magic Mountain is Talisman but because she is a girl, it's just Tali.

If you are looking for a lab of any kind, I highly recommend Labs4resuce.
It was a wonderful experience ... everyone involved cares so much about the dogs. The transport company, Rescue Road Trips, was great to deal with as well. It was a smooth process and we are thrilled that she has arrived!

Here she is straight out of the transport crate into our care.

My younger son with Tali on the ride home.

She jumped on her new bed the minute she walked in the house. How did she know??

Welcome to your new home Tali!!

Jennifer - Congratulations and good luck with her! Tali is beautiful. And I love her bed! We rescued a chocolate lab a year ago that came from Arkansas. Isn't that an amazing experience? Labs are the best!!

Congrats on your new "baby"! My Mom just adopted a little yellow lab about the same age as yours, also female. They are wonderful dogs. Enjoy her!

Congratulations.. I am so excited for the boys. Hanna and I want the boys to know how much fun they are going to have with Tali. We love her and her new name.
We just got Scooter here a month ago. Hanna said she didnt know how much work it is to take care of a dog. But, she still loves him.

What a wonderful way to find your furbaby. Tali is a beauty and her bed certainly is a beauty as well! I can't let my pups see that, they'll be jealous, lol. Good luck and have fun with her. She will be a loyal companion, I swear they know they were rescued and are forever grateful.

Labs are the best! We got a chocolate lab last summer and he has grown into quite a young gentelman! We got him to be a little brother to our grandson that lives with us. He has grown into the bigger brother....90 lbs and he is not quite a year yet! The position of your dogs looks familiar. Our Freddie lays the same way in his crate!
Love your blog!
