One of the ladies at Make Mine Pink asked if anyone is a gardener so that gave me the idea for my post today.I'm not much of a gardener. I wish I was better at it. But I do love to plant flowers in the Spring. I spent most of yesterday doing pots around the house and my window boxes. I love to put old architectural pieces in for show. I found a cool old chippy paint iron chair with not seat that I used in my flowers next to our porch. The porch still needs to be cleaned and the furniture put out but you have to remember, we just started with the warm weather. I also put the table on one side of my back door and the iron chair with the flowers on the other side. Everything is just beginining to flower and grow.
My husband and kids plant a veggie garden every year. I love having fresh veggies. We've been getting asparagus for weeks now. Soon the others will start. We're a little late here in CT but mid summer we have more fresh veggies than we know what to do with. Sometimes the kids set up a stand on the road and sell them. They love it. I leave the gardening to my DH but I love to wander round a garden and view all the plants and flowers. Love these pieces as they make the garden turn into a work of art. Thank you for sharing

I love the old chippy iron chairs, they are awesome. I'm looking for something similar for my front yard. I'm afraid I'm not much of a gardner either but am hoping to change that.

Love the arrangements, you did a marvelous job. I'm not good with plants, that's DH's job, I just supervise, tell him what I want and enjoy!! (I'm not allowed to actually touch anything, because I kill it.) lol

Love your gardening ideas and putting old furniture to use. There was a family up here that had an old iron bed set into the ground with a shabby sign that read "Garden Bed" hanging from the headboard. They planted everything in squares within the bed to look like a quilt. I couldn't believe the people who moved in took it out!

Gardening is all in the amount of time ya' want to put into it. Some people look at our gardens & think we a "nuts"!! BUT it is great exercise & enjoyment for Hubs & I.
I really like the white metal chair you have flowers on. I Love White metal as it looks like lacy doilies in a garden!!

Hi Jennifer, I love your garden. I love chairs and wagons and unusual planters in gardens. I love seeing how green everything is for all of you. It pretty brown out west. lol I hope you get alot of great vegtables this summer...

I love to look at the garden, stitch a garden, design a garden, eat the veggies, but as far as dirt and bugs. NOPE! DH can handle all that! hee,hee,hee!

I have a chair outside the shop with a plant...anything that holds a plant we use! We are across the street from a garden that is a tourist attraction, so it pays to keep the theme! In fact, I had a little hummingbird who almost came in the front door the other day...customers loved it!
