Sanford and Son?

On days that I have been working outside, my husband often comes home and jokes that he feels like he's coming home to Sanford and Son (I am probably dating myself but for those of you who don't know what that is, it's an old t.v. show about a father who is a junk dealer and his frustrated son). Yesterday it was a bit cooler so I hauled out lots of furniture that has been awaiting sanding. For the first time in 16 years I actually hired someone to do the work and it was totally worth it. I have been so busy with my children and visitors I haven't been able to get much done. I came home to all of these pieces prepped and ready for painting. So ... here are a few photos of what is awaiting transformation!!

I have gotten a few things primed and am trying to get them finished. This is a view into my work area . This dining room table has six pretty chairs, three of which had to be moved into my house for lack of space.

This is a pile of old painted boards, cabinet doors and trim pieces that someday will become fun signs.

I'll post again when some of the pieces are done. Thanks for visiting ...

When I have too many projects waiting to be finished..I hire my son to do the sanding....it really helps me out. You have some great pieces, a couple that would fit right in with my livingroom :) Can't wait to see them finished.
